Louisiana Lawyer
Louisiana became the 18th state in 1812. It is the only US state without counties; its political subdivisions are called parishes. Jean Lafitte was once a hiding spot for pirates. Rayne is the “Frog Capital of the World,” and Breaux Bridge is the “Crawfish Capital of the World.” The first Tarzan movie was made in Louisiana in 1917. LA has 15,000 miles of coastline and over 40% of the country’s wetlands.
