During his last two years of undergraduate education he worked as a legislative aid for the Honorable C. J. McLin, and as a laborer in several industrial plants. Sam enrolled in the University of Dayton Law School in 1977 and graduated in 1980. During law school he enjoyed the privilege to clerk for the Honorable George J. Gounaris of the Civil Division of the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court for three years, while working part-time for two years with the City of Dayton Prosecutor's Office. Following graduation from law school he entered into private practice as an associate in an insurance defense firm, focusing on civil litigation defense of motor vehicle accidents, products liability, insurance, and professional liability cases. For several years after becoming partner in the insurance defense firm his practice concentration increasingly developed in plaintiff's personal injury and wrongful death. In 1990 he left the insurance defense practice and has since been practicing almost exclusively in the areas of medical and professional malpractice, wrongful death, serious personal injury, insurance litigation, with periodic referrals for business and contract litigation. Sam has practiced before all levels of Ohio courts, including successful arguments before the Ohio Supreme Court. He also has extensive experience in federal practice, particularly including practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, along with pro hac vice admissions in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama and U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

A graduate of Moeller High School, Miami University, and Chase College of Law, Steve has extensive courtroom experience as a past city prosecutor, and a defense attorney. Steve is licensed to practice in all Ohio Courts as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio and The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also a member of the Warren County Bar Association.

Edgar Boles is an accomplished attorney with 42 years of experience in public law and private practice, primarily in the areas of civil litigation and dispute resolution, representing small and medium sized business entities and individuals. Immediately after graduating from Case Western Reserve University's School of Law, Edgar Boles served as a Law Clerk to Judge John V. Corrigan and Judge Thomas J. Parrino on the Eighth Appellate District Court of Appeals of Ohio for Cuyahoga County. Thereafter, he served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the Civil Division of the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office. Since 1976, Mr. Boles has worked in private practice with law firms in Greater Cleveland before joining Dinn, Hochman & Potter in July 2015. Mr. Boles is experienced in commercial disputes, business torts, shareholder claims and business dissolutions, personal injury claims, employment disputes representing both employers and employees, commercial, business and individual tort claims, and construction, real estate and real property claims and disputes including arbitration. Edgar Boles has experience representing individuals in Estate, Probate and Trust disputes and Domestic Relations matters including divorce, dissolution of marriage and post-decree proceedings. Mr. Boles also has experience in FINRA proceedings representing securities investment claimants and securities industry employment claimants.

Ken is one of the founding Partners and is responsible for both the management of the firm and is the head of the Workers’ Compensation practice. He is a member of the Workers’ Injury Law Group, W.I.L.G., which is a national organization dedicated to protecting the rights of injured persons throughout the country. Ken has represented both injured workers and employers at all levels of the administrative process, including dealing with the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) as well as appearing before the Industrial Commission of Ohio (IC) since 1995. He has also been involved in litigation before the Common Pleas Courts throughout Ohio and has been involved in Mandamus Actions before the Court of Appeals and the Ohio Supreme Court. Ken is a graduate of Wittenberg University (Summa Cum Laude, 1991) and a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Law (1994). He has also taught a Business Law Class as an Adjunct Professor at Wittenberg University during 2010 and 2011 and has participated in the evaluation of Senior Business Majors final projects on several occasions at his alma mater.

Mr. O'Brien received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Walsh University and a Juris Doctor Degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. Mr. O' Brien joined Ibold & O'Brien (formerly Petersen & Ibold) upon his admission to the practice of law in 2000. Mr. O'Brien is a member of the Geauga County, Ashtabula County and Ohio State Bar Associations.
