C. Britton Bonner, Attorney

Britton was born in Mobile, Alabama and upon graduating from Foley High School. Britton received a Bachelor of Science degree, with distinction, from Troy University in 1996. While at Troy, Mr. Bonner was involved in varsity athletics, and was a member of ODK, Mortar Board, and Phi Alpha Theta. Britton served as a graduate teaching assistant while pursuing a Masters degree from the University of Alabama in 1997, and he received his Juris Doctor degree with honors from Tulane University School of Law in 2000.

While attending Tulane University School of Law, Mr. Bonner was a member of the Constitutional Law Moot Court Team as well as the Moot Court Board and graduated with honors in Trial Advocacy. During law school Mr. Bonner clerked with the District Attorney's Office, completed an externship with the United States Department of Justice, and was a member of the Tulane Appellate Advocacy Clinic.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Bonner practiced throughout the Gulf South, specifically in offices in both Mobile, Alabama metropolitan area, as well as New Orleans, Louisiana. His primary focus has remained in the areas of construction, litigation, commercial and complex litigation as well as all aspects of Commercial and residential development.

Britton's practice encompasses a wide range of matters, including: construction disputes, real estate transactions, contractual disputes, condominium and residential development issues, professional liability claims, general business disputes, class actions, as well as marine and products liability matters. Mr. Bonner has appeared as lead trial counsel in state and federal court proceedings in Alabama and Louisiana. Mr. Bonner has also represented vessel owners in arbitrations pursuant to the Society of Maritime Arbitrators guidelines and has represented construction companies, architects, engineers and contractors in proceedings pursuant to Construction Industry Arbitration rules and before various state and federal regulatory agencies. He regularly appears before municipal, county, state and other regulatory boards in zoning, annexation, and development related matters. He has litigated matters ranging from personal injury and property damage disputes, to complex construction disputes, death cases and insurance coverage actions.

Mr. Bonner is admitted to practice law in all state and federal courts within Alabama and Louisiana, as well as the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal. Mr. Bonner was elected in June, 2006, to a four year term on the Alabama State Republican Executive Committee.

Britton is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Baldwin County Bar Association, the Mobile County Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Paul W. Brock Chapter of
the American Inns of Court. Mr. Bonner attended the Leadership Alabama - Leadership Initiative as well as Leadership Baldwin County, is a board member of the South Baldwin Museum Foundation, a former member of the Senior Bowl Committee, a member of both the Baldwin County and the Alabama Home Builders Association, the Baldwin County Association of Realtors, and President of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Baldwin County. He is on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Alabama Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce.  Britton is President of the Mobile Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, is Chairman of the Baldwin County Young Republicans, and serves as an alternate Municipal Judge in Baldwin County.
