Dimitrios Karles is a member of the firm’s business, litigation, and real estate section. As a litigator, he regularly represents individual and corporate clients in a variety of matters, including contract disputes; collection of judgments;  real estate-related litigation, such as lease disputes, easement issues, and partition suits; and real estate title curative matters for owners and lenders insured under owner’s or lender’s title insurance policies.  In addition, he represents owners and landlords of large multifamily properties, and the management companies managing such properties, in reviewing lease agreements; advising owners, landlords, and management companies of their rights and responsibilities under the Virginia Residential Landlord Tenant Act; and litigating landlord-tenant disputes on behalf of owners, landlords, and management companies.

Dimitrios also represents individual and corporate clients in a number of transactional matters. He drafts and reviews corporate agreements, including asset purchase, real estate purchase, confidentiality, non-solicit, non-compete, and subcontract agreements; residential and commercial leases; residential construction contracts; and residential purchase/sale contracts. He advises clients regarding corporate and partnership formation and drafts and reviews organizational documents, including articles of organization, operating agreements, and bylaws.

Dimitrios also represents and acts as a settlement agent for purchasers and sellers of residential real estate. Along with a dedicated team of real estate paralegals, he is committed to making the home-buying and loan closing process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Dimitri received his J.D./M.B.A. from the University of Richmond and B.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar.
