Michael J. Eyre, Attorney

Michael Eyre attended the University of California at Irvine, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature in 1982.  Following graduation, he attended California State University at Long Beach for one year, where he studied Political Science.  He then studied law at Western State University, College of Law in Fullerton, California, and received American Jurisprudence awards in Civil Procedure and Evidence.  His Juris Doctor degree was conferred in 1987.

Mr. Eyre initially associated with a downtown Long Beach insurance defense firm, where he remained until the mid-1990s.  He then went to work for an Orange County law firm that handled receiver work for the FDIC, before returning to insurance defense, insurance bad faith and coverage work with law firms in Los Angeles and Orange County.

Mr. Eyre returned to the Long Beach legal community in 2000, when he joined the Law Offices of Rice & Rothenberg (now The Law Firm of Marc S. Rothenberg).  Since that time, his practice has consisted primarily of plaintiff personal injury, business litigation and real estate.

In his free time, Mr. Eyre volunteers as a Scoutmaster of a local Boy Scout troop.  He is an avid cyclist, and also enjoys camping, hiking and computers.  His professional memberships include the American Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, Long Beach Bar Association and Ball-Hunt Inn of Court.
