North Dakota Lawyer
North Dakota became a state in 1889. Its nickname “Peace Garden State” comes from the International Peace Garden that crosses the boundaries of North Dakota and Manitoba, Canada. The garden has 100,000 flowers and 2,300 acres of garden plants. Farmland covers 90% of the state. ND has more registered vehicles than people. It has a state law forbidding sleeping while lying down with shoes on.
