Paul B. Brockway, Attorney

Paul Brockway has been a lawyer for over 20 years and handles personal injury, wrongful death, and criminal defense matters.

Mr. Brockway is Board Certified  as an expert in Civil Trial Law by the Florida Bar.  Established in 1982, by the Florida Supreme Court, board certification provides consumers with assurance in the selection of legal counsel.

Certification is the highest level of recognition by the Florida Bar of the competence and experience of attorneys in the areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida.  There are currently 1,107 attorneys in Florida who are Board Certified in Civil Trial Law.
Prior to the formation of Hutson & Brockway, P.L., Mr. Brockway spent nearly a decade with a large personal injury law firm handling serious and catastrophic injury and death cases through jury trial, and ultimately becoming the head of the firm's litigation (trial) department.  While with that firm, Mr. Brockway litigated several cases against Mr. Hutson, and each grew to respect the hard work, dedication and professionalism of the other.  Eventually, Mr. Brockway joined forces with Mr. Hutson to realize their shared vision of providing aggressive and individualized representation for their clients.  Since teaming up with Mr. Hutson, Mr. Brockway has proudly continued to represent clients who have suffered serious injuries due to the carelessness of others.

Mr. Brockway also has handled many criminal cases.  Upon graduating from the University of Florida in 1987, he began his career as a prosecutor with the Office of the State Attorney for the 18th Circuit (Brevard and Seminole Counties).  Over the course of his career, he handled homicide, robbery, sexual assault, and crimes against children prosecutions, as well as other serious matters.  He also prosecuted DUI matters including DUI Manslaughter cases.  Mr. Brockway was chosen as that office's Trial Attorney of the Year in 1996 and he received numerous other commendations.
