My partner, Jennifer Chamberlain, and I worked at a large firm in Milwaukee. While the firm had unlimited resources, it lacked the personal touch. Jennifer and I decided to go out on our own to provide the clients exceptional legal services with detailed attention and a hands on approach.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?Someone who is honest, friendly, easy to talk to, makes them feel comfortable, hardworking, and has good communication.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?Very important. I praise myself on being a member of the community and understanding the needs of those in Northeastern Wisconsin.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?A detailed bankruptcy intake can be conducted over the phone in a brief 20-40 phone consultation.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?Their income, assets, debts, if they're married/have children, etc.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?Helping people, giving them a fresh start, seeing how I can change their life and put them on a path to financial freedom. When a client leaves my office feeling relief knowing they can focus on their family and what is important rather than worrying about a bill collector is also a rewarding aspect.
What are your other interests in addition to law?Camping, traveling, family time and being outside.
