Waugh, Scottsdale, was disbarred, ordered to pay restitution, and ordered to pay the costs of the discipline matter. In count one, Mr. Waugh represented a client in a post-decree family law matter. The parties reached a partial settlement and the court ordered Mr. Waugh to file certain documents regarding the settlement, which he did not do. In count two, Mr. Waugh represented a client over the clients payment of earnest money to a title company. Mr. Waugh did not have a fee agreement or other writing that explained the scope of the representation or basis for the fee. Mr. Waugh failed to return the clients requests for information and it is unclear if Mr. Waugh performed any work on the clients matter. In count three, Mr. Waugh represented a client in a family law matter. Mr. Waugh filed a responsive pleading in the matter. During the representation, Mr. Waugh stopped communicating with the client and failed to appear at a previously scheduled evidentiary hearing, causing the petition filed by Mr. Waugh on the client¡¯s behalf to be dismissed without prejudice. Also, as a result his failure to appear, the court scheduled a show cause hearing as to why Mr. Waugh should not be held in contempt, at which Mr. Waugh also failed to appear. The court then sanctioned Mr. Waugh 7,223.24. In count four, Mr. Waugh was retained for a post-decree family law matter to respond to the opposing party¡¯s petition to modify child custody, visitation and child support. Mr. Waugh stopped communicating with the client and failed to file a notice of appearance or any other pleading in the matter. In the last count, Mr. Waugh was retained for a post-decree family law matter. He stopped communicating with the client and failed to appear for a previously scheduled evidentiary hearing. In count one, the opposing part"iled the bar charge. In the others, the clients complained. Mr. Waugh failed to respond to the State Bar on all matters.
