Bryan Johnson | Hauppauge Family Lawyer

Bryan R. Johnson is the current President of the Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association. He has more than 12 years of experience representing clients in divorce and family law matters. He has also successfully tried divorce, custody, property distribution and other family law matters throughout Long Island and New York City, gaining favorable results for our clients.

He has devoted his practice to litigation and has honed his skills earning a reputation for persuasively arguing even the most complex divorces in court. He is admitted to practice law in the state of New York, 2007, Connecticut, 2008, the U.S. District Court Eastern, Southern District of New York, 2011. Bryan began his legal career at Merrill Lynch as an Assistant Vice President, 2006-2009 and was previously an Associate Attorney in a Long Island law firm, where he practiced Matrimonial and Criminal Law from 2009 B 2012.

Bryan graduated from SUNY Stony Brook with a B. S., cum laude, in Business Management, where he acted as a Student Ambassador for the school, was appointed to the interim student government to manage student activity funding for the school and was an officer in the National Honor Society. He received his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law where he was a Member of Moot Court Honor Society (2006).

He has acted as a member of the Board of Directors of the Suffolk County Matrimonial Bar Association since 2011 and has previously served as the Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary of the Association. He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association, 2016-Present.

Bryan has been a guest speaker before the Suffolk County Academy of Law for the Suffolk County Bar Association’s CLE classes, 2014 – Present, lecturing on divorce and family law matters.
