Mr. Shaw must pay restitution of 2 and was assessed the costs and expenses of the disciplinary proceeding. Mr. Shaw failed to act with reasonable diligence and promptness in representing a client; failed to keep the client reasonably informed about the status of the matter or promptly comply with reasonable requests for information; failed to communicate to the client in writing the scope of the representation or the fees and expenses to be paid by the client; failed to provide the client with a copy of his file upon termination of the representation; failed to return unearned expenses to the client and did not maintain them in a trust account.
