I take huge pride in representing all my clients with the same zealous advocacy regardless of the case. I do not distinguish between cases period. Each and every case I handle is on behalf of a client who has put their entire trust in me. As such, each case I handle is the most important case I handle.
How did you build a successful practice?I take pride in being very prompt and efficient on behalf of my clients. They have access to my personal cell phone 24/7. I am also very fair when it comes to compensation and ensure that I provide highly competent and yet very cost friendly and efficient representation for my clients.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?Trust. Promptness. Caring. Ability.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?It is highly important to know the people and the parties involved. In my career, I've practiced throughout the entire State of Michigan. I am especially familiar with the West Michigan landscape. Knowing the judges and other attorneys involved is a huge asset.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?I can assess the options and present same for the potential client with 100% transparency. I take pride in explaining all options, including those that may be difficult to hear. I wholeheartedly believe in being an open book with my clients and presenting them with all of their options.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?I am prompt and caring, perhaps to a fault. I make all my cases personal to me, and while I am professional, I genuinely care about each and every outcome in my cases.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?Seeing a client obtain a result that he/ she did not otherwise expect. Watching their facial expression and radiating joy is truly priceless.
What are your other interests in addition to law?I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife Jillian, and our four kids. We love living on the lakeshore and take advantage of all its beauty. We enjoy the water, boating and spending time in the sun. I also greatly enjoy sports, both playing as a former collegiate two sport Varsity player, and watching sports on tv.
Are you involved in your community?Yes. I was a school board member for my alma matter, and I am currently getting involved with the local rotary club. In addition, I've coached soccer teams, and I currently assist with kicking and punting duties with a local youth football team.
