TN State Lawyer Additional Information: Biography: Ms. Ballinger-Holden was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Tennessee in 2001 with a B.A. in English. In 2008, she graduated with honors from the University of the Tennessee College of Law. In law school, she served as Chair of the Moot Court Board and received both the Chancellor George C. Lewis Award for advocacy and election to the Order of the Barristers. She was also named Best Oralist at the Saul Lefkowitz Regional Moot Court Competition and was awarded the Dean’s Citation for Academic Excellence in Trial Practice, Pretrial Litigation, and Interviewing and Counseling. Currently, she serves as Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association Tort and Insurance Section Medical Malpractice Sub-Committee and on the Executive Council of the Tennessee Bar Association Tort and Insurance Section. She is President-Elect of the East Tennessee Lawyer’s Association for Women and is also a member of the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations, the Hamilton Burnett American Inn of Court, and the KBA Publications and Continuing Education Committees. She also serves as Secretary of the Interfaith Health Clinic Foundation Board. Ms. Ballinger-Holden focuses her practice in medical malpractice defense, health law, and general business and corporate matters.
