About Jeff
Jeff grew up in San Angelo, Texas and began his legal career as a felony prosecutor with the Tom Green County District Attorney’s Office. Shortly thereafter, he joined a large Texas civil firm, Jackson Walker LLP, handling primarily insurance defense cases. In 2007, Jeff opened his own firm in order to represent individuals harmed by the actions of others. In 2014, he also had the opportunity to work with one of the Nation’s top personal injury law firm, Thomas J. Henry, in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Because of the level of success Jeff has received for his clients, he is certified as a Life Member of both the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. These forums are recognized as two of the most prestigious groups of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts, awards and settlements. Fewer than 1% of U.S. lawyers are members.
Having practiced law on both sides of the docket, Mr. Chandler has a unique perspective on how to effectively litigate personal injury cases. And whether advocating before a judge, trying a case to a jury, negotiating with opposing council or drafting legal memoranda, Mr. Chandler’s diligence and determination ensure that clients receive the representation they deserve.

Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I had the opportunity to represent a wonderful young man that unfortunately was severely injured when the pickup he was traveling in was t-boned by an 18-wheeler. My client had horrific physical injuries including an extremely severe traumatic brain injury. We were able to hold the trucking company involved responsible and accountable, thus enabling my client's family the means to continue to take care of my client in the future.
How did you build a successful practice?
For me it all really came down to experience, reputation and perseverance. It takes years to grow and develop a successful law practice. I had the advantage of working for a firm handling insurance defense cases, basically representing insurance companies, prior to opening my own personal injury firm. Having the opportunity to learn and understand the opposite side of personal injury cases has been a huge advantage to my firm's success. My goal was (and still is) to treat every client and case as if they are my only one in order to maximize recovery and positive outcome for my clients. Eventually, as those cases build on each other a successful practice is created.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Reputation, responsiveness, knowledge of the area and respectful assertiveness. When a collision or accident has just happened, many lawyers are seen as overbearing when trying to retain clients. This can sometimes been taken as insensitive, but the truth is we need to enter into a contract with the client as soon as possible in order to legally begin investigation--which means preserving/capturing the accident scene, vehicles involved, video, witnesses, etc. Many times important evidence will go away or be lost if we are not able to begin our own investigation immediately.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT! Having experience, positive reputation and local knowledge of the courts, judges, administrators, potential jurors and law enforcement can many times be the difference in the success of a case.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
My office does a thorough intake on every potential personal injury case with the goal of gathering as much information as possible to ascertain the potential viability of a cause of action. Our desire is to give the potential client a good idea of whether or not they have a case and then provide them with the next steps that should be taken.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
Name, telephone number, address, DOB, email, date and time of accident, nature of accident, location of accident, injuries sustained, identity of at-fault party (individual or company).
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
My experience, reputation, local roots, knowledge of the area, judges and potential jurors. And my proven track record of success.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Receiving the the opportunity to be a source of help and comfort to those who have been hurt or injured by the actions of another. When a person or their loved one has been hurt, killed or severely injured, it can be overwhelming and many times paralyzing when trying to figure what to do and what needs to be done. Our first priority is to jump in and get answers and help take the burden off the shoulders of the family.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
1. Family 2. Outdoor sports.
Are you involved in your community?
Yes, I have been on numerous local boards and committees such as the YMCA and Legal Aide and am active in my church and children's school.
