The Managing Member of the Firm, John R. Parnell has been practicing law in the State of Michigan since 1980.

In the 1970s, John R. Parnell received his Undergraduate Degree from the University of Miami and his Master's Degree from Western Michigan University. He obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from the Detroit College of Law. Mr. Parnell has served as House Counsel for one of Michigan's largest insurance companies and has been in private practice for more than 35 years. Mr. Parnell is a Trial Attorney with experience in Family Law, Personal Injury, Business, and Commercial Litigation, Estate Planning, and Probate Administration. Mr. Parnell has lectured and chaired seminars in many of these areas of practice. Mr. Parnell has a unique approach to handling sensitive issues. He is aware of the personal trauma and pain individuals suffer when going through a divorce or the injury/death of a family member. He is sensitive to the issues involved in the planning of an estate and in administering to the affairs of a loved one who has passed away.

In business matters, Mr. Parnell has the knowledge to represent any business entity in the development of a business plan and what is required when one sells or acquires a business concern. John R. Parnell has represented clients in both State and Federal Courts. He has resolved cases for his client for sums in excess of over three million dollars. He has brought suit against and defended individuals and major corporations to the satisfaction of his clients for many years.

Over the years he has also been a part-time adjunct faculty at Wayne State University, University of Detroit, and the University of Michigan where he has taught classes in specialized areas of the law. He is a member of numerous bar associations throughout the State. As a long time member of the community, Mr. Parnell has served as a Commander of the Grosse Pointe Farms ESU and was the Chairman of the Board of the Lakeshore YMCA.
