Attorney John A. Willis founded Willis Law, P.A. in Boca Raton, Florida in 2001 and has focused his law practice on representing personal injury victims and policyholders against insurance companies. His has handled hundreds of personal injury and insurance matters over the last 20 years, including numerous jury trials in Palm Beach and Broward County, Florida. He has obtained multimillion dollar jury verdicts during his career as a civil trial lawyer. Mr. Willis' prior experience working for a large insurance company has given him an invaluable insider view when it comes to litigating, negotiating, and resolving cases with insurance companies.

Attorney Willis was born and raised in New York and received a Bachelor's Degree from S.U.N.Y. at Stony Brook. After graduating, Mr. Willis worked for a large insurance company in New York. He moved to Florida in 1991 and received his law degree from Nova Southeastern University Law Center. While attending Nova Law School, Mr. Willis was a member of the Nova Law Review, the Nova Moot Court Society and, in 1993, was the winner of the prestigious Feinrider Moot Court Competition, defeating 85 other competitors. During his last semester of law school Mr. Willis worked full time as a Certified Legal Intern for the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s office and successfully prosecuted several criminal jury trials.

Mr. Willis is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida and the State of New York. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, The United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and The United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida.

Martindale-Hubbell - an independent, highly regarded rating agency that utilizes peer review to rate members of the legal community - has assigned Mr. Willis an “AV - 5 out of 5 Superb” rating, which is the highest rating for legal ability and ethics awarded.  Mr. Willis was recently recognized as the “Best Attorney in Boca Raton, Florida” by the 45,000 readers of the Sun Sentinel’s Boca Raton Forum Magazines.
