QUESTIONNAIRE
One was a DUI and related traffic offenses. The client was very concerned and we were able to have the charges withdrawn. Another was a bankruptcy client where a couple was just completely overwhelmed by debt (and life).
How did you build a successful practice?Word of mouth from other attorneys and good track record.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?The ability to communicate with her or him and vice-versa. Clear strategies, communication and status of the case are all important.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?Not necessarily too important. Better is the merits of the case and the law and the ability to communicate that to the judge or jury.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?General answers about the case, what to expect and what it could cost.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?It depends but not much. I get the client's name and contact information and check for any conflicts of interest.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?I treat each client with personal attention.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?Knowing that I was able to get a client through a difficult time through difficult terrain.
What are your other interests in addition to law?Sailing, baking, gardening, traveling, sports.
Are you involved in your community?Yes, Judge of elections, I usually volunteer somewhere (although nothing at the present) Good neighbor too.
