Keisha A. Steed, Attorney

Keisha A. Steed graduated cum laude from Spelman College in 1995 and graduated from Georgia State University College of Law in 1999. From 1999 to 2003, Attorney Steed worked at the Fulton County Jail here in Atlanta, Georgia, resolving inmate grievances. This experience helped solidify her interest in and pursuit of becoming a criminal defense attorney.

Upon being admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2004, Ms. Steed became a dedicated litigator in the areas of criminal defense and family law. As one-half of the law firm of JACKSON STEED, LLC, Attorney Steed focuses primarily on felony criminal defense, divorce, and child support modifications. Prior to founding Jackson Steed, LLC, Attorney Steed was a court-appointed attorney with the law firm of Lister & Holt, LLC, where she represented thousands of individuals charged with misdemeanor offenses in Clayton and Henry County State Court. While at Lister & Holt, LLC, she also represented individuals in over twenty-five jury trials.

After working with the law firm of Lister & Holt, Attorney Steed went on start her own practice, The Law Offices of Keisha A. Steed, LLC, in 2007. While on her own, she also focused on criminal felonies and misdemeanors, but also family law cases. She has extensive experience handling divorce cases, child support modifications, legitimations, and domestic violence cases. It was in 2009 when Attorney Steed and Attorney Jackson decided to join forces and put their litigation experience to work for the benefit of their clients.

Attorney Steed is also an active member of the legal community. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and is admitted to practice in the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court. Additionally, Attorney Steed is the Legal Director for Keeping the Bond, Inc., a non-profit organization that provides pro bono family law services for imprisoned mothers.
