Partner, Business Department, Middle Market/Emerging Company Group, Securities Group; Co-Chair, Media Law Practice Group. Mr. Tierney's practice includes a wide variety of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity financings, corporate governance issues and general corporate representation. He represents companies and investors in forming new businesses, structuring corporate governance arrangements, performing due diligence review and analysis in connection with proposed acquisitions and investments, and the preparation and negotiation of business agreements.

As Co-Chair of Dilworth's Media Group, Mr. Tierney advises media entities on all aspects of their business, including corporate, governance, financing, employment and labor, as well as First Amendment issues, including defense of defamation matters, access issues and handling of subpoenas.
