Robert Hagerty, employment attorney with 28 years experience. Primarily represented employers at large South Jersey law firm as well as a few employees. Representation on both sides provides greater insight into adversary's mindset. Several jury trials to conclusion, including obtaining a dismissal at the end of the employee's case while representing an employer, as well as a $2.4 million verdict on behalf of two race discrimination employees, and a $1.2 million verdict on behalf of a whistleblower employee, co-counsel in both cases. In addition to courtroom litigation, appears before the Division on Civil Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, handles labor arbitrations and disciplinary proceedings in the Office of Administrative Law. Provides employer counseling and training, handbook review and revision and all facets of employment law.

Identity of employer or employee. How long the employee has been employed, in what position(s), and for what compensation. Is there a Union? Copies of the employee's performance review and personnel file. A description of the action(s) which the employee claims violated the law.

I am certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney and have tried cases to jury verdict. Representation of both employers and employees provides insight into adversaries' strategy.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
