Terese  (“Terry”) is a nationally recognized employment and employee benefits lawyer with more than 30 years of experience providing practical solutions to businesses. She specializes in ERISA litigation, labor and employment law, qualified retirement plans, executive compensation, stock and other equity plans, health plans, health care reform, welfare compensatory arrangements and nonprofit law. Over the years, Terry’s clients have included individuals, partnerships, private companies, publicly traded multistate and multinationals, nonprofit entities and churches and their affiliates.

Terry’s approach is simple. She strives to provide prompt, cost effective and exemplary advice and legal representation to her clients. She works closely with her clients to make sure she understands their goals, then provides them with options, and assists them in effectuating their decisions.  She will also let clients know beforehand an approximation of how much it will cost for her services so that there will not be any unpleasant surprises.

Her goal as a lawyer is to mitigate risks for her clients to prevent liability and litigation. But when litigation does arise, she provides clients with vigorous and thorough representation that is aimed at achieving the best possible results.

Ms. Connerton attended law classes at Capital University and obtained her J.D. in 1980. Later, she attended law classes at Georgetown University Law Center and, in 1990, obtained a Masters of Law in Taxation, specializing in employee benefits and nonprofit law.

Terry is an active member of the District of Columbia Bar, the Pennsylvania Bar, the Allegheny County Bar, and the American Bar Association. She is also licensed to practice in a number of federal district courts and Courts of Appeals. Ms. Connerton is a longtime member of the Society of Human Resources Management ("SHRM") and the Butler County Human Resources Association
