Theresa Daniels | Cape Coral Family Law Lawyer

A Lee County, Florida native, Theresa Daniels received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Hodges University (formerly International College) in Fort Myers. She later graduated with honors from Barry University School of Law in Orlando. While in law school, she was a Senior Editor for the Barry Law Review, Executive Board Member of the Barry Association of Women Lawyers, Member of the Student Trial Advocacy Team, and Certified Legal Intern representing juvenile defendants through the school’s Children and Families Clinical program.

Prior to attending law school, Theresa was the President, Founder and Non-Attorney Claimant Representative of Disability Advocates, Inc., in Fort Myers, Florida. Prior to forming Daniels Law, P.A., Theresa was an Associate Attorney at Kelley Kronenberg law firm, where she handled Workers’ Compensation defense cases and Social Security disability claims. Theresa joined the firm of Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz in October 2012.  She returned to solo practice at Daniels Law, PA in July 2015.

Theresa is admitted to practice in Florida State courts and is admitted to the U.S. District Court-Middle District of Florida. She is currently the Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors of Lee County Legal Aid Society; Membership Committee co-chair of the Lee County Bar Association; Mentorship Director of the Lee County Association for Women Lawyers; and serves on the Membership Committee of the American Business Women's Association Cape Coral Caloosa Chapter.

• Practice Area: Family Date: Jan 23, 2015 Outcome: Won on issue of Paternity based on Florida's sperm donor statute, 742.14 Description: (Theresa Daniels for ALH, Appellee) B.W.P., a sperm donor, appeals an order dismissing his amended petition to determine paternity with prejudice and a related order granting attorney's fees to A.L.H., the mother. We conclude that the trial court did not err in dismissing the amended petition with prejudice, because even if B.W.P. is correct that there was no valid written contract between the parties limiting his ability to assert parental rights.
