While attending the University of Denver, he was a Senior Staff Editor for the Denver University Law Review, published an article on reproductive rights, and authored supplements to several respected evidence treatises. He received numerous awards for scholastic achievement and gained the respect of his peers for his advocacy and legal acumen.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Scardina accepted a position with a large, highly respected, and storied Denver law firm and began his career as a civil litigator. Mr. Scardina quickly excelled as an advocate, displaying a unique ability to balance compassion and professionalism with tough, honest, and zealous advocacy for his clients.

As Mr. Scardina's career continued to blossom he transferred his practice to a smaller though equally well-respected law firm to gain greater substantive trial experience.
