Mark Shapiro is a national mass tort lawyer who has been practicing law for over 20 years. He has been actively involved in mass tort litigation since 2008. Mark is a member of the American Association of Justice and the New York Trial Lawyers Association.
Prior to starting his own mass tort litigation firm at Shapiro Legal Group, PLLC, Mark was a partner in the New York office of Loeb & Loeb and prior to that he was Of Counsel at Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner. Mark started his legal career at Shearman & Sterling.
Mark graduated magna cum laude from Brooklyn Law School and is a two-time winner of the American Jurisprudence Award in writing. He was published in the Brooklyn Journal of International Law and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. Mark interned for The Honorable Edward R. Korman, U.S. District Court E.D.N.Y.
Mark holds a B.S degree in Management Science, magna cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts. Mark has been happily married for 25 years, has two children and lives in Westchester County New York.

How did you build a successful practice?We partner with the some of the most successful co-counsel in the personal injury and mass tort field to make sure that our clients have the strongest possible representation.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?Look for a law firm that had extensive experience handling the type of problem you may have and make sure that they are responsive to your questions and needs.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?We handle cases on a nationwide basis and work closely with local counsel when needed for specific local issues or local court appearances.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?We will conduct a full screening of your case to make an initial determination as to whether your facts and circumstance meet the initial criteria for the type of case in question. If you appear to qualify we send you the legal employment agreement via email or text message for E-signature. There are never any out of pocket expenses. The law firm would pay for all of the costs of the lawsuit for you. This would include getting your medical records and for whatever costs it takes to investigate your claim. So this would cost you nothing. You don’t have to invest anything or pay any fees. The only way the law firm gets paid is if we win your case and get you a Settlement
